Description:
• Snap gauges, also known as go/no-go gauges, are used to inspect the external diameter of cylindrical objects. 
• They consist of two separate gauges, one called the "go" gauge and the other called the "no-go" gauge. 
• The "go" gauge has a slightly smaller diameter than the nominal size of the part being inspected, and the "no-go" gauge has a slightly larger diameter than the nominal size of the part being inspected.
• To use snap gauges, the "go" gauge is first inserted over the part being inspected. 
• If the "go" gauge fits snugly over the part, then the part is within tolerance. 
• If the "go" gauge does not fit over the part, then the part is too small.
• The "no-go" gauge is then inserted over the part being inspected.
• If the "no-go" gauge fits over the part, then the part is too large. 
• If the "no-go" gauge does not fit over the part, then the part is within tolerance.
• Snap gauges are a quick and easy way to inspect the external diameter of cylindrical objects. 
• They are accurate and reliable, and can be used to inspect a wide variety of parts.
