Description:
• A bifilar and trifilar apparatus is a laboratory device used to study the oscillations of pendulums and to measure their moments of inertia. 
• It consists of a rigid beam that is suspended from two or three cords, and a variety of pendulum bodies that can be attached to the beam.
• In a bifilar suspension, the pendulum body is suspended from two cords that are parallel to each other.
